Terms of Service

Last updated: March 7, 2026

1. About This Service

CSTQ.ca ("we", "us", "our") provides an independent online study tool designed to help users prepare for the Canadian citizenship test. Our practice questions are independently created based on publicly available study materials, including the Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship guide published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with IRCC, the Government of Canada, or any government agency. Our service is a third-party educational tool. The content of the actual citizenship test is determined solely by IRCC and may differ from our practice materials.

2. No Guarantee of Exam Results

Our service is a study aid only. We do not guarantee that using our service will result in passing the Canadian citizenship test. Exam results depend on many factors beyond our control, including the specific questions asked by IRCC, your individual preparation, and test-day conditions.

Any scores, pass rates, or performance metrics shown within our application refer solely to your performance on our practice questions and should not be interpreted as a prediction of your actual test results.

3. Accounts and Authentication

You may create an account using Google or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information and must not create accounts for fraudulent purposes.

4. Pricing and Payments

We offer paid plans as one-time purchases. Prices are displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By purchasing a plan, you agree to pay the amount displayed at the time of purchase.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect existing purchases.

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to our Refund Policy. Refunds are subject to the eligibility conditions described therein.

5. Free Trial

We offer a limited free trial that includes a sample of practice questions. The free trial uses sample questions and does not represent the full scope of our paid content. No credit card is required for the free trial.

6. Intellectual Property

All practice questions, explanations, translations, and other content on this website are our intellectual property or are used under license. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or otherwise exploit our content without our prior written consent.

The Discover Canada guide is published by the Government of Canada and is subject to Crown Copyright. Our questions are original works inspired by the publicly available study guide, not reproductions of government material.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download our question content
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use automated tools to access our service
  • Attempt to circumvent our security measures or access controls
  • Redistribute our content on other platforms or services

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.

8. Age Requirement

You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence to use this service and make a purchase. If you are under the age of majority, you may only use this service with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CSTQ.ca shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss arising from your use of our service, your exam results, or any decisions made based on our content.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that our content is complete, accurate, up-to-date, or free of errors. We do not warrant that our practice questions will appear on the actual citizenship test.

11. Content Accuracy

While we strive to keep our content accurate and up-to-date with the latest version of the Discover Canada guide, we cannot guarantee that all information is current. IRCC may update the study guide or test content at any time. Users should always refer to the official IRCC website for the most current information.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to access paid content will cease immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Limitation of Liability, Disclaimer of Warranties, and Intellectual Property) will continue to apply.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CSTQ.ca regarding your use of the service.
